Do you view
technology as an expense or an asset?
Have you tried to implement a new software system and
been disappointed with the results?
Are you frustrated that your people can’t effectively
share information?
Does your technology compliment your processes or
hinder them?
Is your current system configuration fully documented?
Does your business have a Disaster Recovery Plan? If
so, has it been tested??
If you don’t like your answers to any of the above
questions, ENS is offering an alternative approach. We
take a broader perspective on technology. We act as a
Virtual “Chief Information Officer” (VCIO) to actually
help manage a company’s technological investment. Our
professional services practice helps clients align
their technological needs with their business in
several ways. One aspect is preparing technology
budgets and action plans to support the client’s
existing business plan. The second aspect is
developing a framework for our clients that will
increase awareness of technology opportunities that
potentially make contributions to their business, thus
positively enhancing the bottom line. The third aspect
is to ensure that clients are adequately protected
with Disaster Planning.
Too many companies miss out by looking at technology
as an expense rather than an asset. Many companies
think of technology in terms of email, accounting and
continually being forced to purchase faster computers.
Information technology can and should work for them,
not the other way around. We help our clients increase
revenues and decrease expenses by becoming more
productive and efficient. Often, it may not even
involve increasing or modifying their current system
as much as it is learning to use what they already
have to its full capacity. The VCIO practice was
designed by ENS to help business’ bridge the gap
between continually changing technology and good
business practices. With VCIO, ENS can help leverage
the right technology to help a business succeed, while
putting the products, services, and budgets together
to plan for expenses.
The ENS VCIO practice is also designed to improve
business processes to remove “information islands”
throughout the organization. We often see clients
duplicating efforts in different departments and not
effectively sharing the same information. By
challenging the operational “status quo”, our clients
gain improved visibility from both a technological and
business viewpoint.
Your company’s electronic information is your most
valuable asset. Statistics prove that should it be
lost in a disaster, companies rarely recover. We
believe that every company should have a tested
Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) as part of its overall
business plan. Our VCIO consultants can assist you
with testing your DRP or help you design one if none
exist.
At ENS, we know how technology best contributes to
business and how it doesn’t. The VCIO program serves
as an excellent tool for communication between the IT
staff and executives. Our VCIO consultants use their
experience in business and technical solutions to
develop a statement of the economic value (ROI) and
the benefits of technology investments being
considered.
Testimonial
ICON Exhibits chose to work with ENS Group because they
view technology from a business perspective. ENS has
helped us focus our resources so that we are confident
our technology-related expenditures are planned and will
help enhance our bottom line. The Business Technology
Audit ENS helped us with was a real eye opener. While
we’ve always had a pretty good handle on our internal
processes, ENS helped us discover alternative ways that
technology can improve how we do business. We expect to
continue using ENS Group’s VCIO consulting services as
part of ongoing business planning.
